Getting Started with Streambox Chroma: HD/2K, UHD & 4K Rackmounts, Chroma X, Chroma+ (Chroma Plus) and Streambox Halo
The Streambox Chroma Encoder/Decoder is a rackmounted unit with Streambox's proprietary ACT-L5 codec, which is uniquely suited for Post Production workflows with support for 12-bit, 4:4:4 color, and support for a multitude of color spaces including the Rec.709, DCI-P3, and Rec. 2020 gamut specifications. Depending on the particular hardware unit and licenses applied, the Chroma rackmounts can support up to 4K-DCI resolution, as well as 16-channel audio (compressed or uncompressed), Dolby Vision/HDR10+ HDR metadata transport, and high-grade AES Encryption
Chroma X Encoder/Decoder is a compact version of the Chroma HD, which supports HD Encoding and Decoding in a smaller unit that's appropriate for desktop use.
Chroma+ (also called Chroma Plus) is a compact 4K Decoder which can output via HDMI.
Streambox Halo Decoder is a compact 4K Decoder which can output via HDMI or 12G-SDI, as well as Dual 6G-SDI and Quad 3G-SDI.

POINT-TO-POINT STREAMING
Port
1770/UDP is our default port for stream. If streaming over the internet, the network firewalls at both ends of the stream should be configured to allow both incoming and outgoing traffic over that port. When streaming point-to-point over the internet to a Decoder or Media Player, it is usually necessary to configure the firewall at that (receiving) location with Port Forwarding. See the below Network Setup document for more information.
