Streambox to Showcase AWS CDI Technology with Autodesk Flame
Amsterdam, 9 September 2022 – Streambox, a leader in remote workflows for Post Production and Content Contribution, will participate in a collaborative demonstration of its new AWS CDI Virtual Transcoder in conjunction with Autodesk Flame. The demonstration will take place on the Amazon AWS stand at IBC (Hall 5 Content Everywhere 5.C800).
The demonstration will include a Flame artist working with an AWS SaaS version of the popular application and using Streambox Spectra to return a color accurate, real-time stream back to the artist.
This new version of Spectra accepts a live CDI stream, encodes it, and provides four low-latency output streams with support for up to 4:4:4 12-bit 4K. The streams can be independently configured for different destinations and bitrates.
The diagram above shows a Flame artist connecting to a SaaS version of Flame with a CDI output. Streambox Spectra then provides a full-quality, low-latency feed back to the Flame artist and a secondary stream to include any number of remote reviewers / collaborators, anywhere in the world.
Bob Hildeman, Streambox CEO, comments: “Spectra is one of many new solutions we have developed as part of our commitment to the exciting world of virtual media production and distribution. We are super excited to be collaborating with the Autodesk Flame team and the Amazon AWS presentations at IBC”.
Steve McNeill, Director of Flame Family product development at Autodesk, notes: “As Flame is a finishing, VFX, and color solution, artists expect high-quality, color-accurate monitoring. To enable this workflow, we are delighted to be working with Streambox to demonstrate an early in-development version of Flame that is leveraging AWS CDI and the Streambox solution to deliver high-fidelity monitoring.”
Streambox personnel will be on the Amazon stand (Hall 5 Content Everywhere 5.C80) during the show – please reach out to sales@streambox.com to arrange a personal demo and to learn more about our full range of streaming solutions.
