Launch Cloud Formation


Note: The values below will be based on the VPC you have created for the media editor app (e.g., Autodesk Flame) which will include the needed security groups and management networks for your configuration. That is, Streambox Spectra VM needs to be collocated on the same VPC.

  1. Open Streambox AWS-CDI on AWS Market place:
    https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-k7lobhofikc2a
    Note: if you do not see our page, you can search for “Streambox AWS-CDI”
  2. Click the ‘Continue to Subscribe’ button
    Note: Values below on this page can be set later
  3. After reviewing the Offer, click the ‘Continue to Configuration’ button
    • Fulfillment option: leave as-is
    • Software version: select latest
    • Region: select same as current VPC

Note: It can take several minutes to create the new stack. During stack create it will display “CREATE_IN_PROGRESS” and once created it will display “CREATE_COMPLETE.”

  1. Select ‘Resources’ tab with new instance selected.
  2. The ‘Physical ID’ link to open Instances page.
  3. The Spectra VM password will be your EC2 Instance ID. Once the instance is initialized, you can find instance public IP in Cloudformation Output tab.
  4. Streambox Sign In page: Enter http://{your instance public ip}/ in browser
  5. Username: Administrator
  6. Password: {use the Instance ID found on previous page.}
Click the ‘Continue to Launch’ buttonReview current settings, then click the ‘Launch’ buttonTemplates should be pre-selected, click ‘Next’ buttonSpecify stack details, then click then ‘Next’ buttonStack name: Enter a unique nameInstance type: should be preselected (can change later if needed)

Key Pair Name: EC2 key pair that matches configuration of editor app

SSH IP Address Range: set to the hosts you want to allow ssh access. For example, use 0.0.0.0/0 to allow access to all hostsID of pre-existing VPC: select the subnet VPC in which you want to install Streambox Spectra VMID of pre-existing subnet: select the subnet within the VPCSubnet availability zone: select the AZ (Availability Zone) of the subnetReview Configure stack options page, then click the ‘Next’ button to leave this page with default settings.Review your new Stack, then click the ‘Create stack’ buttonYou must ‘check’ that “I acknowledge that AWS CloudFormation might create IAM resources with custom names.”
