Function

The Streambox® Encoder is a Audio/Video Encoder and solution for secure, reliable, low-latency video transport that is required for studio and post‐production workflows, video backhaul, or multi-campus video distribution. The Encoder application runs on a Linux operating system and support AES 128‐bit encryption (with optional AES 256-bit encryption with restrictions), LDMP multipath transport, and ACT‐L5 as well as legacy ACT-L3 Advanced Profile compression, all together providing a secure, high quality video transport with low latency and wide color fidelity.

With optional license upgrades, Streambox Encoder can utilize such features as 4:4:4 12-bit Color, numerous standard color spaces in SDR and HDR, High Framerate (HFR) video, Dolby Vision metadata transport, up to 16 channels of PCM audio, 3D/IMag stereo video, and up to 256-bit AES Encryption. Some platforms allow dual streams (one source, two streams of different quality and destination) and multiple video channels in the same device or instance.
